Acute pancreatitis in children population is mostly caused by abdominal trauma, congenital defects of biliary tract, metabolic disorders, viral infections or
drugs. It occurs as postoperative complication after open biliary tract surgery, ERCP but also after spine surgery such as scoliosis without its surgical lesion.
We report a case of acute pancreatitis after surgical scoliosis correction from Th11 to L4 in 16yeras
old female patient. The patient presented with abdominal
pain, decreased blood parameters, higher pancreatic enzymes. An abdominal CT revealed free fluid in peritoneal cavity and almost correct pancreas
view except small hipodensity area in processus hamatus. The patient was qualified to laparotomy, which revealed acute pancreatitis. After surgery the
antibiotics, total parenteral nutrition, painkillers were prescribed and the patient recovered.
We must consider acute pancreatitis after scoliosis correction in children population, because it is not isolated case and in literature there are similar
version of this complication.

Trichobezoar is a special type of the foreign body, which is usually formed in the gastrointestinal tract of patients with trichotillomania (compulsive hair
pulling) and concomitant trichophagia (compulsive eating of hair). Trichobezoars can usually be found in young women with mental disorders or intellectual
disabilities (90% of cases). Occasionally they can be found in the gastrointestinal tract of children. Depending on the size and location, trichobezoars
may cause different ailments and complications. Due to the rare occurrence of trichobezoars among children it is particularly difficult to diagnose and treat
them.
This article presents a case of an 8-year-old girl with symptoms of gastrointestinal obstruction caused by a trichobezoar in the small intestine.

It is a common belief that MPFL has played a major role as a basic stabilizer of the patella protecting it against the lateral luxation for about two decades.
During the injury it can come to its laceration in over 95% of cases. The reconstruction of this element is crucial for restoring the stability of the patella.
Most of the surgical methods based on hamstrings’ grafts require their fixing through different kinds of canals, anchors and interferential screws.
It carries the risk of iatrogenic injures and also the biomechanical structure of these hamstrings is not relevant to natural MPFL.
Our surgical technique described by Fink et al. in 2014 eliminates series previously mentioned risks and the graft’s structure is fitted both in its form and
features to the natural MPFL.
We have made 8 operations without complications until now. 7 patients have been taken under consideration. This analysis took place 6 months after the
operations. According to the scale of Crosby and Insall we received 6 perfect and 1 good score.

Traditional surgical management of perforated intra-abdominal viscus as a result of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) or spontaneous intestinal perforation
(SIP) includes laparotomy with debridement of the offending intestinal segment and formation of stomas. Peritoneal drainage mechanism
of action and its influence on stabilization of the systemic status of premature infants remain unknown.
The aim of the study was to analyze ventilation, hemodynamic and inflammatory parameters of patients with intestinal perforation due to NEC
or SIP treated with peritoneal drainage.

Material and methods. Between 2006- 2013 peritoneal drainage was used in 22 hemodynamic instable patients with suspected intestinal perforation
related to NEC or SIP. 4 infants died during drainage. 18 were analyzed retrospectively. The ventilation, hemodynamic and inflammatory parameters
were compared at the moment of drain placement and laparotomy.

Results. The increase of saturation during treatment with peritoneal drainage was statistically significant. Other parameters did not differ significantly.
Conclusions. In analyzed material only increase of saturation was statistically significant during treatment with peritoneal drainage. Such increase
suggests the predominant role of intra-abdominal pressure decrease in stabilization of hemodynamically instable infants with suspected intestinal
perforation.

The best mode of cryptorchidism treatment remains controversial. However, knowledge gained from randomized controlled studies and meta-analyses
allowed different groups of researchers to set out guidelines on management of patients with UDT. The authors reviewed recent literature and in
this part of the paper they present definition and classification of UDT, as well as current knowledge in terms of embryology, etiology and pathophysiology
of cryptorchidism.
